Prohibits campaign funds from being used to reimburse attorney's fees and other legal costs in criminal litigation that results in a conviction for a felony described in Elections Code Section 20 or a felony involving fraud.

Prohibits campaign funds from paying or reimbursing fines, penalties, judgments, or settlements relating to convictions for the specified felonies.

Requires candidates or elected officers convicted of these felonies to reimburse their campaign for all funds previously used for legal costs and expenses related to those criminal claims.

Incorporates provisions from SB 1170 regarding mental health care expenses for candidates experiencing campaign-related harassment, prejudice, or threats.

Applies 2/3 legislative vote requirement as specified under the Political Reform Act of 1974; became effective September 25, 2024.
