Extends the maximum period that a temporary injunction or other provisional order can restrain actions by the Department of Justice or California Gambling Control Commission from 15 calendar days to 21 calendar days.

Extends the maximum period that a preliminary injunction can remain effective from 45 days to 60 days, except by stipulation of the department or commission.

Maintains the requirement that courts issue such orders only upon finding by clear and convincing evidence that the public interest will not be prejudiced.

Preserves existing standards that courts may only grant injunctive relief if the department or commission is abusing or exceeding its discretion or jurisdiction, based on clear and convincing evidence.
