Requires courts to determine during periodic status reviews (at least every 6 months) whether social workers have made continued efforts to locate relatives, extended family members, or nonrelative extended family members who could provide family support or placement for children and nonminor dependents not currently residing with relatives.

Mandates that supplemental reports filed for status reviews include documentation of efforts made to locate potential family members, the names of those identified, and the results of those efforts, with heightened "active efforts" requirements for Indian children.

Makes a nonsubstantive correction to an erroneous cross reference in Family Code Section 7950 regarding foster care placement considerations.

Specifies that any state-mandated local program costs exceeding those already funded through 2011 Realignment Legislation shall only apply to local agencies if the state provides annual funding for the cost increase.
