Specifies disclaimer placement requirements: at the beginning of written letters and emails, throughout chat-based telehealth, verbally at the start and end of audio communications, and throughout video communications.

Mandates clear instructions in AI-generated communications on how patients can contact a human health care provider, employee, or appropriate person.

Exempts communications from these requirements if a licensed or certified human health care provider reads and reviews the AI-generated content before sending.

Violations by physicians are subject to enforcement by the Medical Board of California or Osteopathic Medical Board of California; violations by facilities and clinics subject to existing regulatory enforcement mechanisms.
