Court must consider a parent's illegal access to firearms and ammunition when determining if there is immediate harm to a child justifying an ex parte custody order.

"Illegal access to firearms and ammunition" includes possession, purchase, or receipt of firearms or ammunition in violation of state or federal law, restraining orders, protective orders, or conditions of probation or parole.

Court must determine whether to suspend, deny, or limit visitation for a party whose conduct presents immediate harm to the child or risk of removal from California, including consideration of that party's access to firearms and ammunition.

When a parent resides in a confidential domestic violence shelter, court must consider the other parent's firearm access before ordering in-person visitation.
