Requires each public school that elects to provide naloxone or another opioid antagonist must maintain at least 2 units of the medication on campus for emergency use.

Applies to schools operated by school districts, county offices of education, or charter schools that have made school nurses or trained personnel available under existing opioid antagonist provisions.

Permits schools to accept gifts, grants, and donations including naloxone from manufacturers or wholesalers to support the program.

Maintains existing provisions allowing school nurses or trained volunteers to administer naloxone by nasal spray or auto-injector to persons experiencing an opioid overdose.

Makes technical revisions to gender-neutral language throughout the statute ("their" instead of "his or her").
