Mandates cities and counties designate at least one pet-friendly cooling center or warming center, to the extent practicable, whenever any number of such centers are designated.

Requires pet-friendly emergency shelters to comply with safety procedures in state and local emergency plans and applicable Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster assistance policies.

Requires cities and counties to include information about pet accommodation when providing public information about cooling centers and warming centers.

Mandates cities and counties post pet emergency preparedness information on their websites, including evacuation plans, emergency checklists consistent with Department of Food and Agriculture and FEMA recommendations, and local pet-friendly emergency resources.
