Designates the week including April 28 annually as "Workplace Readiness Week" and requires all public high schools, including charter schools, to provide information to pupils on worker rights.

Mandates coverage of topics including child labor laws, wage and hour protections, worker safety, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, paid leave programs, union organizing rights, and prohibitions against employer retaliation.

Requires integration of Workplace Readiness Week observances into regular school programs for grades 11 and 12, consistent with the history-social science framework.

Requires minors applying for work permits beginning August 1, 2024 to receive a document explaining basic labor rights before or when receiving a verifying authority's signature.

Encourages UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education to produce a template document with translations in Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Korean, including plain language explanations and links to electronic versions.
