Expands service of protective orders to include orders issued after hearing, not just temporary restraining orders and emergency protective orders.

Authorizes law enforcement officers to serve protective orders at the request of the petitioner, excluding specified peace officers like parole and probation officers.

Prohibits law enforcement agencies from charging petitioners a fee for serving protective orders.

Requires law enforcement to take temporary custody of firearms or deadly weapons in plain sight during domestic violence incidents or when serving protective orders or gun violence restraining orders.

Mandates law enforcement to enter firearms obtained during domestic violence incidents or service of orders into the Department of Justice Automated Firearms System.
