Governor shall appoint a Statewide Homelessness Coordinator within the Governor's Office to serve as the lead person for ending homelessness in California.

Coordinator shall set state goals to end homelessness and identify a local leader in each relevant city, county, or jurisdiction to serve as liaison.

Coordinator shall oversee homelessness programs, services, data, and policies between federal, state, and local agencies.

Coordinator shall coordinate timing of release of state funds and applications for funding for housing and housing-based services for people experiencing homelessness.

Coordinator may adjust state goals as allowed by state law and shall provide annual recommendations to the Legislature and Governor in collaboration with local leaders.
