Requires school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools to annually inform parents or guardians of enrolled pupils about dangers of synthetic drugs not prescribed by a physician, including fentanyl and risks of counterfeit pills containing synthetic drugs.

Information must be provided at the beginning of the first semester or quarter of the regular school term and may be delivered through existing notification procedures under Education Code Section 48980.

Local educational agencies and individual schools that maintain internet websites must post the synthetic drug information on those websites.

Establishes that if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill creates state-mandated costs, reimbursement shall be made pursuant to Government Code Part 7 (commencing with Section 17500).
