Candidates must file a declaration under penalty of perjury certifying that the information in their submitted documentation is true and correct.

County elections officials are not required to verify the authenticity, accuracy, or sufficiency of submitted documentation.

For county auditor positions, changes qualification requirements to require an active certified public accountant certificate (removes public accountant option) and modifies criteria regarding accounting degrees, prior audit experience, and senior fiscal management positions.

Requires qualification documentation to be filed with county elections officials when candidates' names are submitted for ballot printing in primary elections.
