Sellers of single-family residential properties must disclose to buyers any room additions, structural modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by contractors within 18 months of acquiring the property.

Sellers must provide the names and contact information of contractors hired for work exceeding the threshold specified in Business and Professions Code Section 7027.2.

Sellers must provide copies of any permits obtained for disclosed work, or if a third party contractor obtained permits, inform the buyer how to contact that third party for permit information.

Sellers may alternatively satisfy disclosure obligations by providing a contractor-supplied list of work performed.

Requirements apply to sales where the seller accepts an offer on or after July 1, 2024.
