Department of Justice must collect and report data on arrests for violations of firearm serialization laws (Sections 23920 and 29180) until January 1, 2033

Data collection includes number of arrests and case dispositions such as charges not submitted, charges not filed, dismissals, acquittals, and convictions

Starting January 1, 2029, disposition reporting must differentiate between convictions by plea versus trial conviction

Department must issue annual reports beginning July 1, 2025, and continuing each year thereafter, made available in the same manner as other DOJ crime reports

Section automatically repeals on January 1, 2033
