Requires the Victim's Compensation Board to reimburse exonerated persons, or pay their providers directly, for mental health services reasonably related to their incarceration, upon legislative appropriation.

Mandates minimum reimbursement amounts for persons incarcerated 8 or more years: $15,000 per year for up to 4 years if incarcerated 8-12 years, or up to 6 years if incarcerated more than 12 years.

Prohibits the board from reimbursing mental health services for a period exceeding the length of the person's incarceration.

Requires the board to process claims within 30 days of submission.

Applies to persons whose claims are approved by the California Victim Compensation Board on or after January 1, 2024.
