Amends California Constitution Section 6 of Article I to prohibit slavery and involuntary servitude in all forms, removing the current exception allowing involuntary servitude as punishment for crime.

Prohibits the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from disciplining incarcerated persons who refuse work assignments.

Allows the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to award credits to incarcerated persons who voluntarily accept work assignments.

Amendments become operative on January 1, 2025.

Requires two-thirds vote in both the Assembly and Senate to advance to voters for approval.
