Recognizes that damage to nonstructural elements such as ceilings, HVAC systems, piping, and power lines can render buildings unoccupiable even when structural components remain functional

Encourages federal, state, and local governments to recommend products and technologies that have demonstrated exceptional earthquake performance or undergone recognized seismic performance verification procedures

Aims to achieve rapid post-earthquake economic recovery and reduce post-earthquake carbon footprint through use of high-performance seismic products

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of this resolution to the author for appropriate distribution
