Proclaims September 20, 2024, and September 20 of each year thereafter, as California Youth Climate Action Day to honor young people's efforts toward environmental sustainability, climate justice, and biodiversity preservation.

Encourages municipalities, schools, environmental organizations, businesses, and individuals to observe the day with activities that promote climate change awareness and environmental action.

Recognizes that young people are disproportionately affected by climate change and that their involvement in climate action, particularly from marginalized communities, is critical for driving equitable policy change and sustainable practices.

References September 2019 global climate strikes initiated by youth activists on September 20th that brought together approximately 6 million participants worldwide.

Establishes climate action and environmental education for youth as a public priority for California.
