Recognizes May 2024 as Older Americans Month in California with the theme "Powered by Connection," emphasizing the importance of meaningful relationships and social connections to health and well-being.

Acknowledges that California's older adult population is the fastest growing demographic, with one in four Californians expected to be 60 years or older by 2030.

Notes that people of color will comprise over half of California's older adult population by 2035, with Latino and Asian-Pacific Islander communities representing the fastest growing racial and ethnic groups among older adults.

Commits to addressing challenges including ageism, ableism, inequities across race and gender, loneliness, homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity among older Californians.

Encourages all Californians to support the state's Master Plan for Aging priorities, including home and community care, climate readiness, behavioral health modernization, affordable housing, transportation, and broadband access.
