Declares June 3, 2024, as Family Justice Center Day in California to recognize the work of Family Justice Centers and the California Family Justice Network.

Acknowledges that an average of 10,000,000 domestic abuse cases are reported annually in the United States, with one in five women and one in seven men experiencing intimate partner violence in their lifetime.

Notes that 27 California Family Justice Centers serve more than 70,000 trauma survivors annually, with demand spiking more than 30 percent since the COVID-19 pandemic, and more than 20 percent of victims served are children.

Recognizes Family Justice Centers provide trauma-informed, coordinated services including advocates, mental health professionals, legal support, law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals, and other specialists under one roof.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
