Proclaims Wednesday, June 12, 2024, as Loving Day to commemorate the 1967 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Loving v. Virginia that legalized interracial marriage nationwide.

Recognizes that 16 states had laws banning interracial marriage at the time of the Loving decision, which became unenforceable after the ruling.

Acknowledges California's leadership in the marriage equality movement, having struck down antimiscegenation laws 19 years prior in Perez v. Sharp (1948).

Notes that Loving Day, founded in 2004, aims to fight racial prejudice, promote tolerance and understanding, and create connections between multicultural communities.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to provide copies of the resolution for appropriate distribution.
