Recognizes July 4, 2024, as the 248th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America.

Calls upon all Californians and Americans to obtain greater knowledge and understanding of the historical facts and principles of liberty, equality, and self-determination embodied in the Declaration of Independence.

Expresses heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and prayers to all members of the Armed Forces of the United States, past and present, for their sacrifices in preserving and protecting American freedoms.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to make suitable copies of the resolution available for distribution by Assembly members.
