CA SB1021

Authorizes parole officers to display steady or flashing blue warning lights from their emergency vehicles, in addition to the existing authorization for police officers, probation officers, and other peace officers.

Requires parole officers to complete a four-hour classroom training course on emergency vehicle operation certified by the Standards and Training for Corrections Division of the Board of State and Community Corrections before operating an emergency vehicle with blue warning lights.

Clarifies that the authorization does not expand parole officers' authority to conduct high-speed vehicle pursuits or change existing training requirements for such pursuits.
