CA SB1028

Authorizes the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to issue up to 10 additional new on-sale general licenses for bona fide public eating places in counties that have reached their license limit, beginning July 1 of the first calendar year after the limit is reached.

Allows county boards of supervisors to further limit the number of additional licenses by submitting a resolution to the department on or before July 1 of the applicable year.

Requires the department to follow existing procedures in Section 23961 when issuing licenses and permits designation of these licenses as "on-sale general for special use."

Prohibits licenses issued under this section from being transferred between counties or sold for more than the original fee paid by the seller or transferor.

Allows the department to issue one additional replacement license following cancellation or revocation of a license issued under this section.
