Requires employees to make reasonable efforts to schedule workers' compensation treatment outside regular work hours when possible, without delaying necessary treatment.

Mandates employees provide advance notice to employers if treatment occurs during work hours, or notice as soon as practicable if timing is unforeseeable.

Requires employers to grant employee requests for leave during work hours to attend scheduled treatment unless business necessity requires a different time or day.

Makes employer denial of requested treatment leave during work hours a violation of existing misdemeanor provisions prohibiting employer retaliation against workers' compensation claims.

Provides that leave taken for treatment runs concurrently with federal Family and Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act leave if employee qualifies for such leave.
