Department of Cannabis Control must submit fingerprint images and information to Department of Justice for criminal history checks of employees, prospective employees, contractors, and subcontractors with access to criminal records or cannabis products.

Owner applicants previously submitted fingerprint images for a valid state cannabis license are exempt from resubmitting fingerprints for subsequent applications, and the department cannot consider their prior criminal history when reviewing new applications.

Adds Type 13—Cannabis event organizer to the codified list of state cannabis license classifications.

Appropriates $5,000 from the Cannabis Control Fund to the Department of Cannabis Control for implementing the bill's provisions.

Bill takes effect immediately as legislation related to the state Budget Bill and furthers the purposes of the Control, Regulate and Tax Adult Use of Marijuana Act.
