Amends Section 25660 of the Business and Professions Code to add biometric systems as a defense against criminal prosecution or license suspension/revocation for selling alcohol to minors.

Requires biometric systems used as a defense to be based on review of valid proof of age and identity documents, and must verify and authenticate the validity of that evidence.

Defines "biometrics" as unique personal characteristics including fingerprints, iris, face, or similar characteristics used to identify a person.

Defines "biometric system" as technology that links a person's identity to their biometric characteristics.

Approved by Governor September 25, 2024, effective as Chapter 606.
