Requires public animal control agencies and shelters, and private animal shelters with local contracts for animal care, to update website data at least once per month, effective January 1, 2026.

Mandates publication of specified information on shelter websites including: number of animals taken in during prior month (by category: dogs, cats, other animals), source of intake, and animal outcomes (adoptions, returns to owners, transfers to rescue, euthanized, died in care, dead on arrival).

Removes the geographic limitation that previously restricted requirements to counties with populations greater than 400,000, making the requirements applicable statewide.

Provides that if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill imposes state-mandated costs, reimbursement to local agencies shall be made pursuant to Government Code Part 7.
