Requires health care service plans and health insurance policies issued, amended, or renewed on or after January 1, 2025, to provide coverage without cost sharing for screening mammography and medically necessary diagnostic breast imaging.

Coverage includes diagnostic breast imaging following abnormal mammography results and for enrollees with risk factors for breast cancer, including family history or known genetic mutations.

Defines diagnostic breast imaging to include breast magnetic resonance imaging, breast ultrasound, and other clinically indicated diagnostic testing consistent with nationally recognized evidence-based clinical guidelines.

Applies to high deductible health plans only after an enrollee's annual deductible has been satisfied.

Does not require reimbursement to local agencies or school districts under the California Constitution.
