CA SB39

Revises the definition of "subregions" within the Sierra Nevada Conservancy framework, organizing the region into six subregions: northwest Sierra, northeast Sierra, north central Sierra, south central Sierra, southeast Sierra, and southwest Sierra.

Adds climate resilience and equity as explicit goals for the Sierra Nevada Conservancy to support alongside existing conservation and economic objectives.

Amends legislative findings to include support for efforts that advance both climate resilience and equity as a function of the conservancy.

Makes conforming and nonsubstantive changes to Sections 33301, 33302, 33320, and 33322 of the Public Resources Code.

Effective July 13, 2023.
