Transit operators must collect and publish survey data on street harassment by December 31, 2024, using funding provided by the Department of Transportation through agreements established by July 1, 2024.

Transit operators must conduct outreach activities with underrepresented rider subpopulations (women, non-English speakers, LGBTQ+ riders, riders with disabilities) to understand their experiences with street harassment.

Transit operators may collect survey data in multiple languages determined by existing rider data or top non-English languages in their service communities according to the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey.

Survey data must be published on the transit operator's website and the Governor and Legislature must be promptly notified of publication, with no personally identifiable information disclosed.

Information and outreach activities collected in the five years before this bill's effective date are deemed to satisfy the survey and outreach requirements.
