Extends the maximum duration for a single peace officer assistance request from 12 months to 3 years when premises or property is closed to the public and posted as being closed.

Requires requests for peace officer assistance to be submitted in notarized writing on a form provided by the law enforcement agency, and allows electronic submission of such requests.

Permits requests for peace officer assistance to continue after a change in property ownership or transfer of lawful possession if the new owner or person in lawful possession notifies the relevant law enforcement agency or city of the change.

Requires notice ending assistance to be submitted in writing rather than any other form.

Specifies that the 30-day request for peace officer assistance during fire hazards or owner absence must also be in notarized writing on a form provided by the law enforcement agency.
