Requires general internists and family physicians with over 25% of patients age 65 or older to complete at least 20% of mandatory continuing education in geriatric medicine, dementia care, or care of older patients.

Requires nurse practitioners providing primary care to patients with over 25% age 65 or older to certify completion of at least 20% of mandatory continuing education in gerontology, dementia care, or care of older patients at license renewal.

Requires physician assistants providing primary care to patients with over 25% age 65 or older to complete at least 20% of mandatory continuing education in geriatric medicine, dementia care, or care of older patients.

Incorporates conditional provisions allowing Section 2811.5 of the Business and Professions Code to be amended differently depending on whether AB 2270 and AB 2581 are also enacted, with options to include courses in menopausal mental or physical health and maternal mental health.

Declares no state reimbursement is required for local agencies or school districts as the act only creates new crime-related requirements under Section 17556 of the Government Code.
