Establishes that any contract void under California's restraint of trade laws is unenforceable regardless of where or when the contract was signed.

Prohibits employers or former employers from attempting to enforce void noncompete or restraint of trade contracts, even if signed outside California or involving out-of-state employment.

Prohibits employers from entering into contracts with employees or prospective employees that contain provisions void under restraint of trade laws, establishing this as a civil violation.

Allows employees, former employees, or prospective employees to sue for injunctive relief and actual damages, with prevailing parties entitled to recover reasonable attorney's fees and costs.
