Superintendent of Public Instruction must convene an advisory task force by July 1, 2024, to identify needs of LGBTQ+ pupils and recommend supportive policies and initiatives.

Task force must address pupil mental health, school facility access, inclusive curriculum, bullying prevention, and campus activity participation.

Task force composition requires minimum 15 members including 8 LGBTQ+ high school pupils, 1 school administrator, 2 teachers, 2 mental health professionals, 1 community advocate, and 1 representative from the State Department of Public Health.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature, Superintendent, and Governor by January 1, 2026.

Report requirement expires January 1, 2028.
