CA SB895

Authorizes the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to develop a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing Pilot Program allowing up to 10 community college districts statewide to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Requires eligible community college districts to have a nationally accredited nursing program and prioritizes districts in underserved nursing areas and the central valley, with consideration for those with existing ADN-to-BSN partnership programs.

Limits total Bachelor of Science in Nursing enrollment at each district to 25 percent of the associated Associate Degree in Nursing class size or 35 students (whichever is greater) and requires priority registration for students with an associate degree in nursing from that district.

Requires the Legislative Analyst's Office to evaluate the pilot program's effectiveness and submit findings to the Legislature by July 1, 2032, covering enrollment, costs, completion rates, and recommendations for program expansion.

Repeals the pilot program on January 1, 2034.
