CA SB908

Requires the State Department of Public Health to monitor and identify trends in fentanyl-related deaths of children ages 0 to 5 using all relevant overdose data available to the department.

Mandates the department develop guidance and awareness materials to protect and prevent children from fentanyl exposure.

Requires the department to annually distribute findings and guidance to local health departments, county boards of supervisors, and the Legislature beginning on or before January 1, 2026.

Makes adherence to the department's guidance optional for local health departments and county boards of supervisors.

Repeals this section on January 1, 2029.
