Require school district governing boards to adopt a policy at a publicly noticed meeting specifying how parents and guardians may inspect written and audiovisual materials used in comprehensive sexual health education and HIV prevention education.

Materials must be made available at each schoolsite and publicly posted on the district's internet website (or parent/guardian portal if copyright restrictions apply) within 30 days of adoption, but no later than 14 days before instruction begins.

Updates or changes to materials must be made available at each schoolsite and posted online within 30 days of adoption, but no later than 14 days before instruction is given.

Materials from outside consultants or guest speakers contracted before January 1, 2025 must be available within 30 days of policy adoption; those contracted after must be available within 30 days of contracting but no later than 14 days before instruction.

Require state reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for any costs mandated by the state pursuant to Government Code Part 7.
