Proclaims June 5, 2024, as California Aerospace Day to recognize the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries' contributions to the state's history, economy, security, and education.

California's aerospace and defense industry supports $100 billion in annual economic activity, provides 511,000 high-paying jobs (39 percent of state manufacturing jobs), and generates $11 billion in wages and $7 billion in state and local taxes.

Acknowledges California's leadership in aerospace design, manufacturing, and services, including aircraft, spacecraft, commercial satellites, and navigation systems, supported by thousands of suppliers across all 58 counties.

Recognizes California's three NASA research centers (Ames Research Center, Neil A. Armstrong Flight Research Center, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and achievements in Mars landings, Space Shuttle, B-2 Stealth Bomber, GPS, and James Webb Space Telescope.

Highlights California's role in emerging aviation technologies including electric, hydrogen, and hybrid propulsion systems for urban and regional air mobility expected in commercial operation by 2025.
