Recognizes October 1 annually as Korean American Senior Day to honor and celebrate Korean American senior citizens and their contributions to California society.

Acknowledges that Korean Americans represent over 1.5 million residents in the United States with 17.4 percent being seniors age 65 and older, and California has 477,478 Korean residents with 14.9 percent being seniors.

Highlights Korean American seniors' historical contributions as entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals, and their ongoing impacts in health, science, technology, entertainment, and sports.

Notes this is the first state resolution in the United States regarding Korean American Senior Day, building on the Hanul Family Alliance's annual celebration established in Chicago in 2004.

Encourages all federal, state, and local organizations to promote the commemoration of Korean history and culture.
