Celebrates the 25th anniversary of "Taiwanese American Heritage Week" established by President Clinton in 1999 and its contributions to strengthening bilateral relations in trade, science, technology, education, tourism, and culture.

Supports Taiwan's participation in international organizations including the United Nations, World Health Organization, International Civil Aviation Organization, and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Recognizes Taiwan's democracy as crucial to Asia-Pacific peace and prosperity and encourages California government to explore further cooperation with Taiwan.
