Proclaims October 21, 2024, and each year thereafter, as Hanbok Day in California to celebrate traditional Korean attire and cultural heritage.

Recognizes the hanbok as the traditional dress of the Korean people with over 2,000 years of cultural significance, originating from the legendary founding of Gojoseon in 2333 B.C.E.

Notes that 36 cities worldwide, including Abu Dhabi, Rome, Warsaw, São Paulo, and Budapest, already celebrate Hanbok Day and wear traditional hanbok.

Invites all California residents to participate in wearing the traditional hanbok and celebrate Korean American cultural contributions to the state and nation.

The Republic of Korea officially declared October 21 as Hanbok Day in 1996, and this resolution aligns California's recognition with that international observance.
