Declares September 2024 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in California and encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations to participate in awareness activities and events throughout the year.

Recognizes that cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children in California and that many children experience pain, suffering, and require substantial information and support.

Acknowledges California's leadership in childhood cancer treatment with 18 Children's Oncology Group hospitals and 10 National Cancer Institute designated cancer centers, the most of any state.

Commits the Legislature to supporting efforts to find cures and less toxic treatments for childhood cancer and honors young people fighting the disease, survivors, and medical staff providing care.

Recognizes the American Childhood Cancer Organization's role in making childhood cancer a national health priority and the importance of awareness in addressing this devastating disease.
