Proclaims June 2024 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month in California.

Urges all Californians to celebrate the culture, accomplishments, and contributions of LGBTQ+ and two-spirit people to the state and nation.

Acknowledges significant progress including marriage equality, increased LGBTQ+ representation in California government (nearly 200 elected officials and 10% legislative representation), and the Respect for Marriage Act signed in December 2022.

Recognizes rising anti-LGBTQ+ threats nationally, including over 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in state legislatures in 2024, a 13.8% increase in hate crimes based on sexual orientation, and a 32.9% increase in hate crimes based on gender identity.

Encourages Californians to advance equality for LGBTQ+ people and their families, with particular emphasis on supporting transgender and gender-diverse individuals facing discrimination in healthcare access, school sports participation, and facility usage.
