Acknowledges that California fairgrounds attract millions of visitors annually and generate hundreds of millions of dollars for nonprofits, youth organizations, cities, counties, small businesses, and the state General Fund

Recognizes fairgrounds' role during emergencies and natural disasters as medical sites, staging areas for emergency personnel and equipment, and evacuation centers for those displaced by fires or floods

Extends appreciation to fair volunteers, directors, CEOs, staff members, business supporters, sponsors, and associations who operate and maintain California's fairground network
