Requires the State Fire Marshal's Wildfire Mitigation Advisory Committee to develop a home hardening certification program by January 1, 2027

The certification program must identify home hardening measures, including defensible space, that can be implemented during renovation or property improvement projects to reduce fire loss risk

The program aims to bring existing building stock into alignment with California Building Code standards for wildland-urban interface areas

Authorizes the Office of the State Fire Marshal to use funds from the Building Standards Administration Special Revolving Fund (upon legislative appropriation) to develop the certification program

Adds developing the home hardening certification program to the official duties of the Wildfire Mitigation Advisory Committee
