Removes human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) from the list of Schedule III controlled substances under the California Uniform Controlled Substances Act

Previously, hCG was classified as Schedule III except when possessed, sold, purchased, transferred, or administered by licensed veterinarians exclusively for veterinary use

Other forms of chorionic gonadotropin (non-human) remain classified as Schedule III controlled substances alongside anabolic steroids

Approved by the Governor on October 1, 2025, and filed with the Secretary of State the same day

Requires no appropriation and affects no local programs, though it was reviewed by a fiscal committee
