Requests UC to align its high school course certification criteria for admissions with the content standards, frameworks, and model curriculum adopted by the State Board of Education

States legislative intent for UC and CSU governing boards to base undergraduate admission standards on State Board-adopted content standards and to consult with the State Board before adopting or changing admission criteria

Requires CSU (and requests UC) to develop by January 1, 2028, a revised annual process for local educational agencies to submit courses for review and certification, with approving entities notifying districts of approval or denial by February 1 each year

Encourages postsecondary faculty to consult with the State Board of Education when developing model academic standards for high school course admissions recognition

Maintains existing requirements for a simplified duplicate course evaluation procedure for career technical education courses across high schools
