Prohibits Members of the Legislature from entering into or requesting nondisclosure agreements related to the drafting, negotiation, or discussion of proposed legislation while acting in their official capacity

Renders any nondisclosure agreements related to proposed legislation entered into after the bill's effective date void and unenforceable

Exempts nondisclosure agreements that protect only trade secrets, financial information, or proprietary information from these prohibitions

Creates a new crime under the legislative code of ethics, as violations of the code are punishable as crimes under existing law

Effective October 1, 2025 (approved and filed with Secretary of State)
