Prohibits consumer credit reporting agencies from including information about property sales in credit reports when the property is located in a Governor-declared state of emergency area due to a natural disaster and was rendered uninhabitable by that disaster

Prohibits lenders and others using consumer credit reports from treating the sale of disaster-damaged property as a negative factor in credit decisions

Expands protections originally drafted for wildfire victims (specifically January 7, 2025 wildfires) to cover all natural disasters under the amended version

Changes the property damage threshold from "damaged beyond repair" to "rendered uninhabitable" to potentially broaden eligibility for protection

Amends the Consumer Credit Reporting Agencies Act (Civil Code Sections 1785.13 and 1785.20.6) alongside existing protections against reporting medical debt
